Forum: opensource Subject: A Few Questions On Uploading Books

Hi,

I collect books that are either entirely about Lady Jane Grey or at least have an illustration of her, and so there for I have a rather large collection.

I have a few questions if I wanted to share them:
1. How will I know if a book is one I can upload. I have books from 1781 till the early 1900s (I'm assuming my more recent books i.e the last 50 or so years would not be eligible). A list of my books are here http://www.bitterwisdom.com/ladyjanegrey/bookcase.html

2. I own my own scanner but I don't have a lot of space on my computer and many of the books have a lot of pages. Would I be able to upload parts of the book or would I have to upload them all at the same time?

Thanks for reading!
Sonja Marie

Any book that is pre-1923 is eligible. You could scan a book one at a time and once uploaded it would be on our site so you could delete it from your hard-drive. Other then that, no facy ideas here.
